a lot of women are socialized to the concept of “compromising” in their interpersonal relationships but what compromise means in that context is to be submissive, to let go of their concerns, limitations, comforts, desires, in order to appease the other person. in order to avoid a confrontation, in order to be seen as one that doesn’t cause conflict but one that dispells it. that isn’t what a true compromise even is, but even if it was, the discrepancy that men are never socialized to consider making compromises is something eerie. why do we set women up for enduring a lifetime of emotional abuse

I don’t know what a half hearted love is, a half hearted apology is, or what a half hearted attempt to do something is, I don’t know how to feel, I am either a complete mess or a complete fool in love.
Eventually you’ll end up where you need to be, with who you’re meant to be with, and doing what you should be doing.
don’t let anyone tell you that it’s a bad thing to feel things deeply. a full heart is a strong heart and being soft doesn’t make you weak. being soft and loving makes you radiant. you deserve all of the love in the world and so many good things.
“When you love and care for yourself, you can deeply tune into your lover, children, customers, projects, and/or dreams and intuit their needs. You begin to serve others with your natural gifts and talents without depleting yourself. You speak like love. You walk like loveliness. When you live well-watered and nourished, other people’s lives are expanded. You’re no longer hungry or thirsty. You don’t have to chase or beg. You simply show up and offerings are served.”— India Ame’ye, Author
